I will be showing a selection of work exploring themes around shared histories turning to the simple vessel as a metaphor for our common humanity. Merging simple sustaining function with creativity and technology the pot represents a common denominator for our shared histories and identities.
In the present moment I am also addressing issues relevant today around displacement, jeopardy, struggle and
hope.
Adding my own collection of vases my vessels celebrate courage, worth, dignity, strenght, hope and belonging.
I am also celebrating the many people who stand up for the rights of refugees and who offer support and kindness. So I am dedicating this exhibition and a share of sales to Kent Refugee Action Network
MAY ART SHOW
April 2023
I will be showing some new work at Hold Creative Spaces in Ramsgate for the annual May sale. There will be 18 fabulous artists. Very excited to be part of this show!
My work mostly made last summer has been made in response to the seasons and the natural environment. Investigating through colour and repetition - asking us to connect mindfully to the elements around us that we need to sustain ourselves and the planet.
